I still have some reservations concerning this new film. (click here to read my reaction to the teaser trailer back in July.) It might very well be a great film, but I have such origin fatigue. I just don’t know if I wanna go through Spider-Mans origin again for a full film.
However, the word from the San Diego Comic Con Panel was pretty damn positive. At the very least the new Spidey, Andrew Garfield, made a HUGE impression. (Click here to see what I’m talking about.)
Today Superhero Hype unveiled the new poster for The Amazing Spider-Man and I will say, that is one cool looking poster.
I wonder if the “The Untold Story” tag line is a homage to one of (in my opinion) the best Spider-Man comics from the ’90s?
…ehhh, probably not.
The new film will be directed by Marc Webb and will be co-starring Emma Stone , Rhys Ifans (as the new on screen villain The Lizard), Denis Leary, Campbell Scott, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field.
The Amazing Spider-Man will crawling into theaters (see what I did there?! Heh…sorry…) July 3, 2012.
