What they say: “More Killer – No Filler”. We’re featuring 9 – count ‘em 9 – great short indie horror films on this DVD, for a total running time of 122 minutes – over 2 hours of terror-inducing cinema – plus Extras!

So, you’ll pardon my high adrenaline level.

In alphabetical order, the great short horror films on volume 2 are:

“GNAW” by Frank Merle
“HELL’S HABIT” by Mike Jackaon (also “The Veil” from vol. 1)
“HUMAN NO MORE” by Christopher Alan Broadstone (also “My Skin!” from vol. 1)
“THE KOOKY KASTLE” by Paul Carty
“LEGEND OF THE SEVEN BLOODY TORTURERS” by Conall Pendergast
“OUT OF THE DARKNESS” by Nicholas Rucka
“THE ROOM” by Diego Meza-Valdes
“THE STRAIN” by Mike Doyle
“TRICK OR TREAT” by Oliver Pearce

What I say: Well here we have the second volume of AAAAAH! Indie Horror Hits, as you may remember I reviewed part 1 and end enjoyed it a great deal. So needless to say I was rather excited to tear into vol. 2.

This time there are nine shorts. While I feel like the best ones were on volume one, I feel like vol. two is stronger overall, with more consistency among the films. I really enjoyed most of them with Trick or Treat and Out of the Darkness being particular favorites.

This volume was a little more experimental with a computer animated segment and more shorter films. It really was a good mix and if you love indie horror, this is the collection for you.

Once again my only nitpick is that the disc is encoded in 4×3 instead of 16×9 anamorphic widescreen. But hopefully with the upcoming volume three that will be addressed.

Film: 8/10
DVD: 7/10
