Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer arrives (appropriately) near Lincolns Birthday!
February 13, 2012

Well…pretend with me for a bit. Pretend that Battleship and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter are NOT real films, but these trailers exist. You know, like an elaborate, big budget parody video.

You’d laugh at how ridiculous the ideas are (Battleship the boardgame became a movie about aliens! A President fighting vampires! Crazy!). You’d laugh because you’d think how the parody videos nailed Hollywood’s need to make everything into big budgeted action films. Then you’d probably laugh because you will admit that you actually might want to see one of these as a real movie.

Funny right? Well, like I said, you were just playing pretend…..because this is real.

My thoughts? Well between this and Battleship…no joke…I’m voting for Lincoln.

Maybe it’s because it’s the crazier of the two films. Maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for martial artsy/fantasy action. Maybe because I love the idea that 30 years from now, some kid who’s looking up stuff on Abraham Lincoln for his history class will stumble upon this movie and go “WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!”

And to release this trailer today, February 13, a day after Lincolns actual birthday makes me smile to no end.

Is this flick going to be a giant disaster or a giant ball of fun? Don’t know, but I think I’m gonna be there on opening day.

Don’t forget Honest Abe will be hunting down bloodsuckers June 22, 2012….in 3D no less!
