420 is an internationally recognized holiday and daily excuse for Stoners, Pot Heads and even the recreational marijuana user to light up, toke up and blaze a blunt on their way to the euphoric High-Way of mental freedom. Or is it an evil path to mental anguish, despair, desperation, crime and even death? The 420 Triple Feature takes on a trip down memory lane with some of the best, most idiotic, hilarious and downright absurd “educational” films on the subject of marijuana use. Features Sonny Bono!

What I say: If you have ever seen Reefer Madness you certainly know what you are in for here. In this collection of three “educational” short films, we learn the evils of Mary Jane through the help of the good old establishment and those rascally chronic fiends.

You get three films; “Keep Off the Grass”, “Drug Addiction”, and “Marijuana” featuring Sonny Bono. Keep Off the Grass is easily the best one, with its hysterical “hip” narration and swell cops to help us along. The performances are a hoot as well. The film looks terrible with scratches dirt and missing frames, but I think that might have been on purpose.

Drug Addiction is the oldest of the three, and probably the most boring. It meanders into other drugs and does not spend much time on the shizzle dizzle. It has the best picture quality, but that’s like saying crap is better than poop.

And finally we have Marijuana, a “pro and con” discussion of the chronic hosted by Sonny Bono of all people. Guess which side wins? This one tries to give all the “facts” but it’s still laughable. Picture quality again is atrocious.

This is a fun, goofy collection that I’m sure some of you seen in health class in school. Worth a watch for a laugh, baked or not.
