What they say: In the last days of WW2, women are volunteering from all over Germany to serve in the front lines from the Nazi Party by having sex with the brave Nazi soldiers. But when they start having sex with each other, things get complicated. Especially with the increasing danger from the revengeful Soviet army! AKA She Devils of the SS
What I say: First, let’s be honest. There is a bit of false advertising here. The film should have been called Fraulines out of Uniform. Unlike films like Ilsa and a wealth of other Naziploitation flicks, there is no violence, no beatings, and the film is practically a comedy. From what I understand this was a Swiss made film made for German audiences, thus there are no judgments made about the Nazis. This gives the film an odd tone right off the bat.
The girls are all happy, giggly babes willing to do anything to help the Nazi party….and boy is it a party. I had no clue what I was getting into as I put this in, and you know what? I still don’t! I almost miss the beatings! Almost.
Picture quality is awful but that’s not the point with this release. This is one of those films thats so bad it’s…different. In other words a typical Cheezy release.
As far as Extras? Well, we are not dealing with Criterion here. There are some fun Drive-In intermission cartoons (the same ones that were on the Big Foot disc I reviewed)…and that’s about it.
Film: 7/10
DVD: 7/10
