What they say: The stunning Edwige Fenech (The Case Of The Bloody Iris, The Strange Vice Of Mrs. Wardh) stars in this infamous shocker that packs more grisly violence and sexual depravity into each frame than most any other film in the entire giallo genre. There’s succulent flesh aplenty as a mysterious killer dressed in black leather and wearing a motorcycle helmet begins butchering beautiful young fashion models with no mercy and one deranged request: Strip Nude For Your Killer! Now presented in a brand-new High Definition transfer from the original uncut and uncensored camera negative!

What I say: The Italian Giallo is a particular favorite genre of mine. The gloved killer, the sleeze, ah how I love thee. And do you know what the first sign of a good Giallo is? It’s the presence of the gorgeous and talented Edwige Fenech. This nasty little number, directed by Andrea Bianchi of Burial Ground fame, starts off running as we witness an abortion gone horribly wrong and the attempt to cover it up. But someone knows the truth and they will kill and kill again in order to avenge the young woman.

As far as Giallos go Strip Nude For Your Killer is pretty rough. There is the usual bloody and creative kills but there is also a lot of abuse heaped upon the women in this film. While that is kind of bred into the genre it seems to be more excessive here as even the women that are not killed are roughed up quite a bit. This adds an extra sleezy air to the proceedings and not necessarily in a good way.

Andrea Bianchi is not known for his awesome directorial skills and he revels in the sleeze. Luckily we have Edwige Fenech to class the act up. All that aside the story is suitably shocking and the world of high fashion always works well within the genre. Performances are about what you would expect but we don’t watch these things for their plots now do we?

As usual Blue Underground has done an incredible job of restoring this “classic”. I seriously doubt that the film has ever looked or sounded better, even in its theatrical run. The crazy fashions and wild color palette really shine in this HD transfer. There are also the impressive extras that BU packs on every release. Included here are interviews, two trailers, and a poster and still gallery.

Film: 7/10
Blu-Ray: 9/10
