Sorry it’s taken me the week to get this up, folks. Things at work and home have been crazy. But without further ado…
So Dante and I went to Albany Comic Con last weekend, and were part of a special panel, “Podcasting 101: How Geeks Get Famous”. We were joined by Matt Herring of the Secret Identity Podcast website and Bob Crissman of the Galaxy Cast Podcast website. The videos for that are up at our YouTube Channel, so check them out!
We also were thrilled to be invited to have a table to broadcast from at A.C.C. and we thank John Belskis who always puts together a great show. We were so busy answering questions and talking to fans that we didn’t get nearly as much into the episode as we wanted. But what we did get in was a treat and a good learning experience for our next convention podcast.
In addition to Bob and Matt, we also spoke to artist John Hebert and Comic Book Hall Of Fame organizer and past guest Roger Rautio, both of whom had some interesting news to share exclusively with us first! John is a great artist, a wonderful guy, but watch him around the sushi at dinner after the show! And he shared with us his opinion of “rock star” artists in the industry, especially a certain full of himself you-know-who. And Roger is always a delight to talk to, and we always enjoy supporting his efforts to bring his and every comic fan’s dream of the Comic Book Hall Of Fame to life.
We also did a quick video with one of my favorite comedy web series, Super Knocked Up. If you haven’t seen this series, I highly recommend you try it! They are hilarious!
Matt, Bob, Dante and I had a great time with the panel, and we’re glad to be a part of the con experience that John and the gang at A.C.C gives the fans. We’ve been throwing some interesting ideas around for the next show in November, and I can say is I can’t wait for the next one! Enjoy!
