About Heroes And The Colorado Tragedy…
July 20, 2012

As most of you have seen from the news today, the shooting during the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises has left the comics world stunned.

Dante and I were at the New Hartford, NY midnight premiere, passing out comics and t-shirts and, like everywhere else in the country up to the moment of the shooting, enjoying the party-like atmosphere that comes with large numbers of comics fans gathering together and sharing special moments.

We took video of the opening and the giveaway, and planned to post it here in the next few days. But to do so right after such a tragedy would to me be disrespectful to the victims and their families. So we ask that you please be patient while we pay our respects to those who were the central focus of an event no one ever wanted to see connected with our industry.

Our website’s name is ABOUT HEROES. And after an event like last night, I can’t stress enough the important work done by the everyday heroes in Law Enforcement and Emergency Services. Once again, they show the world that everyday they face threats with no super powers. No utility belts. Just training, and dedication, and heart. Support them in any and every way you can. Show them that they are the real world heroes.

Thank You

Jeff

I completely agree Jeff. A friend texting me this morning the horrible events that took place.  My thoughts and prayers are with those people that were killed and their familes.
