What can I say, I have a soft spot for Arnold Schwarzenegger action films. I love Terminator (1 and 2), Commando, True Lies, Predator, Total Recall (screw the new one…there, I said it.) etc.

Truth be told I was getting pretty frustrated with his film choices before he became the Governator of California. End of Days felt like wasted potential. The 6th Day and Collateral Damage were so so in my opinion. And personally, the less you talk to me about Terminator 3 the better it’s going to be between us.

So why am I pumped for the new film? First off he’s working with a FANTASTIC director. Korean Director Kim Jee-Woon is making his US film debut with this one. Do yourself a favor, if you have Netflix go watch The Good The Bad The Weird and I Saw The Devil. Once your done, hopefully you can see why I’m excited. TGTBTW is a blast of an action film and was the Indiana Jones movie I didn’t get when Krystal Skulls came out that year. I Saw the Devil is an intense and hard hitting (and super violent) revenge thriller that left me shaken after I saw it.

Sure, the plot isn’t necessarily ground breaking. Yeah Johnny Knoxville looks to be playing the EXACT same comedic sidekick role from the Walking Tall remake with the Rock. All that aside, I think this looks pretty damn badass.

I also can’t wait to see if they do the classic question of an Arnold movie; does the film address the accent….or NOT?
