Alright, never mind, but at the very least my fanboy ideas came true.

Shane Black is now signed on to direct Iron Man 3. I wrote up a piece about it a few weeks ago for my reasons why this is a good idea (which you can read it right here) so I am glad this worked out. No word on if he’s writing it or not, but I can’t imagine he won’t have a hand in the script in some fashion.

Next up…my wild card director choice…

Jon M. Chu is in final negotiations to be the next G.I. Joe director. I’m looking forward to this, I think the guy has some strong potential that none of us has seen yet. I hope he has at least the simplest of story sense to make this G.I. Joe flick less nauseating to watch then the first movie, but I’m confident he will bring the visual punch.
