Here it is…actress Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman….

…..yeah….ok….I guess.
It’s definitely got some influence from the Jim Lee redesign
I’m just not sure about this project. Personally, you think after the cancellation of Heroes AND The Cape, NBC wouldn’t want to try out another superhero show again. But, the familiarity of the character plus the added name recognition of showrunner/writer David E. Kelly is enough for the network to make it.
I still maintain that Wonder Woman should have gotten on the big screen instead. She’s a character that deserves that respect, giving her another show is disappointing to me.
The reports on the script by David E. Kelly have also not been very convincing. Check out the Bleeding Cool article about the script here.
Also, while I get that the studio wanted to get a photo of WW out before a spy photo takes one, they should have probably made a much cooler photo. This looks like an ad for a Halloween costume.
The costume itself is underwhelming at best, but I’m a bit confused. NBC says that the show will not be campy…I’m sorry, but this costume is a bit campy. I’m kinda shocked that she isn’t wearing a jacket like the Jim Lee costume.
Theirs no guarantee that the show will be picked up yet, since it’s only a pilot, so who knows, maybe this will go away like the abandoned Justice League live action show, or like the CW Aquaman pilot that…surprisingly…ALSO had Adrianne Palicki, this time as a villainous siren.

Fun Fact: Adrianne Palicki also played a character called Kara (though it turned out NOT to be Supermans cousin) in Smallville. Man, this girl really enjoys hanging out in the DC universe.
